Second Tutoring Experiencs

My second experience going to the writing center was a great one. The tutor walks in with the tutees and introduces herself to the tutees before they sit down.  She tells one tutee to go over their work and look up what they need help with.  The tutor has great body language and is fully focused on helping her tutees. She is positive and very upbeat when talking to her tutees.  She starts to read the other tutees  assignment and gives her feedback. She rereads the paper over a second  time and goes over the corrections that were made. She is very helpful and constantly gets up to bring the tutees helpful materials to help them with the mistakes their making in their paper. She always allows the tutees to look for their own mistakes in their paper. She easily rotates from one tutee to the other tutee. As one tutee is going over their  assignment, she manages to help the other tutee. She doesn't leave one tutee without doing something while she is helping the other tutee. She takes full advantage of the time she has with both tutees. I also noticed she makes it very clear who is in charge and she keeps the students focused on the task at hand. She is a positive cheerleader and  gives constructive criticism. She asks several questions just to get a sense of where the tutees are in their college career. By the end of the session she was finished with both tutees. I  was pleasantly surprised to see how great of a tutor she was because my last experience at the writing center was a bad one. I was happy to see they have great tutors at the writing center.
